Swanson Library's mission is to ensure all students are effective users and producers of information and ideas. Our library goals are:
1. To provide equal access to literature, technologies, and information.
2. To foster an appreciation of literature by encouraging students to read, listen to and view a variety of literature.
2. To foster an appreciation of literature by encouraging students to read, listen to and view a variety of literature.
3. To collaborate with teachers to support classroom instruction.
4. To work together with parents to promote family literacy.
Children may check out 2 books at a time, and they are due back in 3 days. They may renew the book if they bring it back to the library. Book bags given at the beginning of the year should be used every time for transporting books to help keep books safe.
If a book is lost or damaged, please contact me to determine the amount owed for the book or books. Most hardcover books are $25.00 and paperbacks are usually $10.00. Alternative payment schedules are available.

This Holiday Season we are working with Fireside Books in Palmer. Through January 9, just say "Swanson Elementary" and our library will get in-store credit for every dollar you spend. Friends and family can shop for the holidays or personal reading lists, and also help our school get free books.
Thank you for shopping locally and supporting Swanson Elementary!
